Repair, Maintenance Improvement Industry Initiative

Overview

The Domestic RMI Workstream works collaboratively to set out proposals for how the CLC’s Industry Recovery Plan can be implemented within the sector along the lines of restart, reset and reinvent. The workstream comprises representative, professional and accreditation bodies, as well as specialists, civil servants, and academics. The workstream meets on average every three weeks and invites external parties to deliver presentations and participate.

Objectives

The workstream seeks to support measures that ensure the safe undertaking of work inside people’s homes. It also seeks to build confidence among homeowners about conducting building works. The workstream also considers and discusses demand-side stimulus for the purposes of skills retention, job creation, improved industry standards and social benefit.
